The Restore Our Soldiers Community is a place for our soldiers, veterans and their loved ones to come together and create greater awareness about soldier's heart (PTSD) and the impact that it has on all of us. Just as Soldier's Heart helps us all to better understand PTSD then this community will help us to connect with each other and begin our personal restoration.
Soldier's Heart is a unique film about veterans made by Vietnam veteran and writer/director Brian Delate who is also an accomplished film, stage and TV actor. This semi-autobiographical film describes the journey of Vietnam vet Elliot (James Kiberd) to a deeper self-acceptance as he battles the long-term effects of PTSD and its impact on his family, wife and friends. If you are a veteran from any war, or you know a veteran, this is a must-see movie.
Along with taking pride as a Vietnam veteran, Brian also has carved out an extensive career in film, theatre and television. As an actor, he has worked with Al Pacino on Broadway, is in Mr. Pacino's film Salomaybe and serves with him on the board of directors at the Actors Studio. Brian has co-starred with Jody Foster in The Brave One -- Jim Carrey in The Truman Show -- Tim Robbins in The Shawshank Redemption -- Ed Harris in Buffalo Soldiers and many others. Soldier's Heart represents Brian's directorial debut in film.
